Since 1981, we have supported the DoD community, as well as Homeland Security, advanced technologies, environmental, and commercial markets. Our employees have backgrounds in engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, acquisition, technical writing, training, and other technical and administrative fields. And many of our personnel have DoD and/or operational military experience. If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding career with a leading organization, come see what we can offer you!
Position
Network Engineer
  • Location: APG Edgewood, Maryland
  • Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
  • Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 Depending on Experience and Education

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will provide the following support to Capability Program Executive (CPE) for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (CBRND) Integrated Early Warning (IEW):
  • Review, analyze, and provide comment on design packages for emergency management response, CBRN detection, and warning equipment installation at military bases. This includes providing technical and programmatic guidance to optimize test methodologies and ensuring comprehensive T&E protocols-- coordinated with interagency partners, government, and industry--are incorporated to validate operational effectiveness, survivability, and capability objectives.
  • Work in conjunction with project teams to implement defined technical activities (i.e., enhancing or designing solutions for customers and conducting transition or transformation activities for new applications), including the development, implementation, and monitoring of cybersecurity protocols for networked CBRN defense architectures.
  • Evaluate and resolve hardware, software, and obsolescence management issues for critical CBRN equipment, sensors, and technologies. Serving as the subject matter expert in acquisition lifecycle management and sustainment operations, represent the systems engineering team to proactively mitigate diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS) while identifying cost and schedule efficiencies.
  • Coordinate Installation Protection Integration Platform software suite certification and CBRN system integration with individual software vendors. This includes executing vulnerability assessments, analyzing T&E data across major acquisition phases (e.g., TMRR, EMD, and P&D), and managing the completion, submittal, and briefing of necessary acquisition and test documentation to executive-level (SES) stakeholders.

  • Proven background in planning, managing, and analyzing T&E events for chemical and biological sensors, including managing multi-mission-dollar test events in hazardous environments
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with entities such as ATEC, MSCOE, DTRA, and industry partners as well as the Chemical and Biological Defense Program (CBDP) TECMIPT to align test strategies and reduce redundant testing
  • Ability to develop acquisition strategies, facilitate milestone decision authority reviews, and support high-level briefings to SES stakeholders
  • Progressive technical background in managing the sustainment of integrated systems, obsolescence management, to include supply chain risk, and engineering integration
