Position

Aircraft Survivability Engineer - Test and Analysis 

  • Location: Dayton, Ohio
  • Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
  • Salary: $75,000 - $125,000 Depending on Experience and Education
  • Travel: 10%

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking an Aircraft Survivability Engineer - Test and Analysis to support several DoD survivability programs. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Aircraft Survivability Engineer - Test and Analysis

  • Support Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) efforts by developing test plans/reports, witnessing testing, processing test data, and conducting post-test analyses
  • Conduct survivability-based modeling and simulation (M&S) by developing inputs, executing analysis tools, processing results, and documenting efforts in technical reports
  • Evaluate survivability enhancement technologies and investigate potential performance improvements to minimize, and/or eliminate system deficiencies
  • Translate engineering level survivability data into inputs to support mission, campaign, and wargaming simulations
  • Develop authoritative data sources leveraging MBSE techniques by conducting research on data standardization and architectures.

Minimum Qualifications of Aircraft Survivability Engineer - Test and Analysis
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field of study or social science and 0-3 years of relevant experience. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; is you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

Desired Experience

  • Strong analytical, inference, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Experience with laboratory or system level testing including instrumentation, data reduction, and reporting
  • Practical knowledge of DoD aircraft and weapon systems
  • Experience with DoD related tools including XPATCH, MOSAIC, ESAMS, COVART, AFSIM, CAMEO, CATIA, SolidWorks, or others not listed
  • Strong coding and modeling skills that can be leveraged to interface with data sets
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in small, dynamic teams and deliver products exceeding customer expectations
