Duties, Responsibilities & Other
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Ensure quality control standards are met and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Train and mentor team members on Surveying best practices and technologies.
  • Stay up to date with UAS regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and strategies.
  • Participate in industry conferences or events as a guest speaker or panelist to share insights and expertise.
  • Assist in sales activities and maintenance of client relationships.
  • Prepare technical and fee proposals.
  • Participate in the preparation of surveys and contract documents, as required.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews for project or task deliverables.

Leadership and Direction

  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop proposals, and build and maintain client relationships.
  • Continue client relationships within the South Region.
  • Look for opportunities for geographic expansion throughout the Southeast

Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 7 years of related professional experience, or 11 years of equivalent
professional experience.
• Progressive professional and increasing project management and organizational management experience.
• Proven experience in project management roles within the technical practice.
• Demonstrated leadership capability to build and lead teams of technical practitioners and/or project managers.
• Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets, project margins, and cash flow.
• Experience in business development, with a focus on maximizing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the Practice.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions.
• Adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools use in the practice area.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the service line.
Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
• Professional Land Survey license is required.
• Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Training within six months of start date.
Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
