What are Surrogate Cases?

Surrogate cases refer to legal cases that are handled in a Surrogate's Court, which primarily deals with matters related to wills, estates, and the administration of a deceased person's assets. The court oversees the probate process, appoints executors or administrators, and settles disputes over inheritances. Surrogate cases may also involve guardianship proceedings for minors or incapacitated adults. The goal is to ensure that the wishes of the deceased are honored and that assets are distributed lawfully.
