Job description

Secretary For The Surgical Department

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time secretary for the surgical department. This position performs various administrative duties related to the operations of a single/cost center department (or several combined small departments), provides secretarial support to the professional staff in the accomplishment of their assignments. Enters patient location for the patient tracking board for family information.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Associates degree or equivalent education in related courses preferred.

Experience: Previous secretarial experience with medical terminology desirable.

Skills: Working knowledge of computers and general office machines, including copier and fax machine.
