This full-time remote position focuses on providing essential mental health services to individuals dealing with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote work environment through telehealth, allowing you to provide therapy sessions from the comfort of your own space while maintaining a vital part of our practice. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, accommodating occasional evening or weekend shifts on a rotational basis. We leverage advanced telehealth platforms to ensure seamless communication with clients while ensuring their confidentiality and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals and preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to manage and treat mood disorders effectively.
  • Educate clients and their families on mood disorder symptoms, treatment options, and strategies for self-care to enhance their understanding and engagement in their treatment.
  • Regularly monitor and assess client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration by sharing insights and co-managing care with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments and best practices in mood disorder treatments to continually enhance the quality of care provided.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in professional development through case consultations and team meetings to foster a culture of learning and growth.
  • Advocate for clients to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues and ensure their voices are heard in treatment and care planning.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus primarily on clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression and anxiety. This demographic requires sensitivity and expertise, as you will navigate complex emotional landscapes while building trust and rapport. Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in treating mood disorders.
  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods, specifically CBT and DBT.
  • Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and effective communication skills to collaborate with psychiatrists and healthcare teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve positive therapeutic outcomes with diverse client populations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostered by your ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a telehealth setting is highly preferred, aligning with our remote work approach.
  • Familiarity with integrated care models and collaborative treatment planning with interdisciplinary teams.
Compensation and Benefits
