Position: Policy Support Service Representative 


Position Summary


The Policy Support Service Representative is responsible for accurately processing insurance endorsements, cancellations, and policy changes in compliance with underwriting guidelines. This role requires strong attention to detail and clear communication with internal teams and brokers to ensure timely and accurate processing.


  Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1.Processing daily endorsements on all lines.

2.Processing of cancellations on all lines.

3.Communicating with other teams regarding mid-term cancellations and endorsements relating to renewals.

4.Refer concerns outside of authority to the Underwriter.

5.Interact with agents/brokers and Business Development Representatives independently by clarifying or requesting additional information to ensure timely, quality underwriting action.

6.Learn, through education and training, technical information regarding underwriting, coverages and processes.

7.Assist in testing new procedures with applications.

8.May provide administrative support to other team members.

9.Other duties as assigned


Knowledge and Skills:

1.High school graduate; some college or insurance related education preferred.

2.Property & Casualty Licenses must be obtained in the first 6 months of employment.

3.Twelve (12) months of commercial lines rating experience or similar background with another carrier.

4.Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with others in order to reach goals or deadlines.

5.Strong organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills as demonstrated by prior work experience or educational background.

6.Good knowledge of contract forms and endorsements is needed.


Physical Requirements:

1.   Ability to hear.

2.   Ability to speak clearly.

3.   Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Â
