Job description

Accredited calibration laboratory and repair shop that specializes in GSE maintenance and repair. We are currently expanding our team of technicians and looking for a skilled mechanic to provide maintenance and repairs on various types of ground support equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Service varying types of GSE which include but not limited to: aircraft jacks, hydraulic power units, ground power units, towing equipment and vehicles, engine slings and hoists, etc.
  • Perform proof load testing on aircraft jacks and other lifting equipment
  • Repair and rebuild hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot issues or problems with equipment and determine repairs needed
  • Verify proper operation of equipment in accordance with OEM manuals and testing procedures
  • Calibrate varying gauges such as pressure gauges, temperature gauges, and flow meters
  • Document all work performed and complete service reports
  • Communicate with customers and answer questions on services performed
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop
  • Traveling to local and non-local customer facilities is required. Overnight trips across the USA happen frequently
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to use common hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures in OEM and service manuals
  • Mechanically inclined and detail oriented
  • Must be computer literate and willing to learn how to use the company's software systems
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver's license and acceptable driver history

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs

Applicant must hold a valid driver's license and be a U.S. Citizen or be a U.S. Permanent Resident.

On the job training is provided. Mechanical experience of any kind is beneficial. Previous experience working with GSE is a plus, but not required.

Pay rates are based on previous experience and qualifications.
