About the Role

As Developer Relations at Anthropic, you will help developers discover, onboard, and get the most out of Claude Code, Claude Tag, and future developer products. This role is pivotal in helping developers adopt Claude-powered products, growing our developer ecosystem, gathering crucial feedback to inform product development, and ensuring our products are used responsibly, safely, and securely.

You'll be a hands-on technical voice for Anthropic's developer community, including partners, customers, and independent developers. Your success in this role will directly shape how developers experience and adopt Claude, helping users adopt new ways of working with Claude and bringing developer feedback back to product and research teams Building strong relationships between our developer community and internal teams will be essential as we advance our mission of creating reliable, interpretable AI that follows human intent.

What You'll Do

Drive Technical Strategy and Impact

  • Shape how developers discover and engage with Anthropic's developer products (specifically Claude Code and Claude Tag), bringing a strong point of view grounded in hands-on experience and feedback from users.
  • Build frameworks and mechanisms for measuring developer success that align with both business objectives and our mission of safe, beneficial AI
  • Prioritize community and content initiatives based on data, developer feedback, and business needs
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to ensure developer needs inform the roadmap

Set the Bar for Developer Relations Craft

  • Help define what world-class AI developer relations looks like in this emerging field
  • Model excellence in technical content, code samples, and developer engagement that others can learn from
  • Contribute to and help evolve the processes and best practices the broader DevRel function relies on

Drive Scaled Developer Adoption and Success

  • Understand the diverse needs of developers across segments, from individual hobbyists to enterprise engineering teams
  • Partner with GTM, Sales, and Marketing to support developer-focused campaigns that drive adoption
  • Lead and participate in high-impact developer events, workshops, and community activities that introduce Claude to strategic developer communities
  • Generate high-quality technical content (ex: sample apps, tutorials, documentation, integration guides, and best practices) that demonstrates how to use Claude responsibly and effectively

Drive Alignment Through Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as an advocate for developer needs at Anthropic, translating developer feedback into concrete product and content initiatives
  • Collaborate with Research to translate AI capabilities into accessible educational resources
  • Partner with Communications and Marketing to amplify developer success stories
  • Promote best practices for responsible AI use among developers building with Claude
About You
  • You have 5+ years of experience in developer relations, developer experience, or technical product/engineering roles, with a track record of shipping content or tools that measurably grew a developer ecosystem
  • You're technically credible. You can deeply understand AI/ML and API concepts and translate complex technical ideas for various audiences, from individual developers to enterprise engineers
  • You have hands-on technical ability. You can write production-quality code demos, critically review developer samples for quality and best practices, and give specific, actionable technical feedback
  • You have real insight into developer psychology and behavior. You know how to reach developers through the right channels, build authentic affinity for products, and design content that drives meaningful adoption
  • You're passionate about AI's potential and deeply committed to ensuring it's developed responsibly, with a genuine interest in AI safety and ethical considerations
  • You're a collaborative contributor who can influence across teams without direct authority, building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • You've thrived in high-growth environments and can adapt quickly as priorities evolve
