Job description

Tomales Bay Foods, home of the Cowgirl Creamery, is looking for an enthusiastic leader to help guide our Delivery team. This position is responsible for providing direction and coaching for staff while meeting daily and weekly goals in the most efficient manner possible, with an emphasis on customer service, safety and accuracy. This role oversees all daily routing of deliveries, maintains communication with our drivers to address any delivery issues and find viable solutions for our customers, and covers delivery routes as needed (approximately 50% of time spent on the road).

Reports to:Warehouse & Distribution Manager

Core Hours/Work Days:Mon-Fri, Business Hours, Subject to Change

Summary:This position providesleadership and coaching forDrivers,directingthe smooth,friendlyand efficient operation of the Fleetandfollowingregular maintenanceprograms.

Certification requirements:Forklift certification, Clean MVR

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:


  1. Responsible forestablishingroutes to be efficient and safe.
  2. Assigns Routes to drivers.
  3. Ship confirms routesin a timely mannerafter orders have been verified for accuracy.
  4. Schedules Drivers.
  5. Updates daily route information in Samsara andoptimizerouteefficiencybased ondailyorders.
  6. Responsible for vehicle upkeep and associated paperwork, PreventativeMaintenanceand signage.
  7. Using the TBF Driver Training manual, trains all driversand provides refresher training on a quarterly basis.
  8. Responsible for implementing andmaintainingsafe warehousing and driving practices.
  9. Performsconsistent ridealongandprovidesdirect reports feedback inBiweekly1-2-1 sessions
  10. MonitorsestablishedKPI'sand provides feedback and coaching to ensure all team members are adhering to protocols andSOP's
  11. Scheduling routine maintenance with third party services to ensure compliancewithinternal calibrations.
