Job description

Overview
Directly responsible for all operations of food service at assigned Food and Nutrition Department to include all food prep, storage, delivery, lounges, dining areas, sanitation, ordering, scheduling, patient meals, and call center operations. Responsible for coaching and training of employees including disciplinary action. Must be Servesafe certified and attend on going education classes at Corporate University.
Qualifications
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High school diploma or GED preferred.
License, Certification and/or Registration: Obtain and maintain Serve Safe Certification required within 90 days of being hired
Experience: Prior supervisory experience preferred. Some food service experience preferred, preferably in a high volume health care setting.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to solve problems independently. Must be knowledgeable of and able to follow the standards of Huntsville Hospital, local, state, federal, other regulatory agencies for food preparation, handling, hygiene, and sanitation.. Must have knowledge of cooking methods, procedures, and various types of kitchen equipment. Must be able to follow verbal, written, and electronic directions and recipes.
