Job description

Overview

Greets the public, patients, and families. Obtains and enters demographic and financial information for all patient types. Handles all customer service issues in a customer friendly manner. Accurately listens and responds appropriately to address and resolve issues at hand. Must ensure all paperwork is checked for accuracy. Must continually enhance knowledge regarding processes in order to train new hires and existing employees. Should show initiative in process improvement. Must collect required fees from patients or authorized representatives. Responsible for daily operations. Must be flexible to work as scheduled or needed, which may include alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and being on call. 

Qualifications

Education required: High School/ GED completion/

Education preferred: Post-secondary education

Experience: Two to three years of customer service/public relations/leadership experience preferred. Two to three years computer experience preferred. Previous medical record or billing experience strongly preferred. Will consider one year of previous work experience in other fields

Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written skills required. Ability to type 35 wpm with 90% accuracy required. Must possess ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude. Must demonstrate effective time management skills. Must demonstrate efficiency and organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Ability to compile and analyze data preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred. Should possess a drive to be TEAM ORIENTED. Should possess strong ETHICS with a clear understanding of right and wrong which guides actions. Should possess SELF DISCIPLINE to actively impose structure onto Registration personnel. Should possess the disposition of RESPONSIBILITY, assuming personal accountability for work and actions.
