Job description

Schedule and supervise team of field installers. Assist with installation as necessary. Supervise approximately 5-6 Installers. The crew will be responsible for installing wireless access points, electrified door hardware, access control panels, analog and IP cameras, camera servers (NVR), power supplies, cable pathway systems and various structured cabling systems including, but is not limited to,ย ย  fiber optic cabling systems, twisted pair cable, low voltage cable and coax Installations are performed in both new construction and retrofit scenarios in a variety of environments.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise and provide hands on support for:
    • Installation of structured cabling systems (copper, fiber, low-voltage)ย 
    • Installation of network switches, wireless access points and other IP devices Physical
    • Installation ofย various CCTV; analog and IP camerasย 
    • Installation ofย various types of NVRโ€™s and VMS platformsย 
    • Installation ofย cable pathway systemsย 
    • Installation, termination, testing, labelling and documenting horizontal, backbone and other cables
  • Attends job site weekly meetingsย 
  • Schedule and supervise installers each day on the job sites
  • Tool box topics
  • Daily reports on job sites
  • Use tools properly to ensure safety and protect quality of doors and hardware
  • Report any damaged products to supervisor
  • Analyze drawings, sketches, work orders and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly
  • Organize and document safety training, drug screens, other documents needed depending on contractย 
  • Liaison between Installers and Project Managersย 
  • Keep detailed record of installation requirements/project specs to ensure each installation is performed correctly and efficientlyย 
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferredย 
  • Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequently
  • Experience using power tools, such as saws and drillsย 
  • Industry experience with installation of building materials preferredย 
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkย 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilitiesย 

  • Must have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
  • Ability to determine what type of tool and equipment are needed for a job
