BUTCHER & MAINTENANCE / JANITOR

Full-Time / Part-Time — Experienced Candidate Preferred

We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and hardworking individual who can handle both professional meat preparation and general maintenance/cleaning responsibilities. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can work independently.

BUTCHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform professional cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning of beef, chicken, lamb, and other meats.
  • Prepare meat according to store/customer specifications.
  • Operate knives, meat saws, grinders, slicers, and other butcher equipment safely.
  • Maintain proper portion sizes and minimize product waste.
  • Package, label, and organize meat products properly.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements.
  • Properly store meat and maintain appropriate temperatures.
  • Clean and sanitize butcher equipment, counters, floors, and work areas.
  • Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies or products are running low.
  • Assist customers when needed and provide professional service.
  • Follow company procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of meat products.

MAINTENANCE / JANITOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean and maintain the store/workplace on a daily basis.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and sanitize floors.
  • Clean bathrooms, break areas, storage areas, and common areas.
  • Remove garbage and maintain clean garbage/storage areas.
  • Clean walls, doors, windows, shelves, equipment, and other surfaces as needed.
  • Assist with basic building and equipment maintenance.
  • Replace light bulbs and perform other basic repairs when needed.
  • Help identify leaks, broken equipment, plumbing issues, electrical problems, or other maintenance concerns and report them to management.
  • Keep outside areas, entrances, and surrounding areas clean and presentable.
  • Assist with moving, organizing, and storing supplies or equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace.
  • Respond to cleaning or maintenance issues as they arise.

  • Previous butcher experience strongly preferred.
  • General maintenance, janitorial, or supermarket experience is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable working with knives and butcher equipment.
  • Must be physically able to stand, walk, lift, bend, and work for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must follow food-safety and workplace-safety procedures.
  • Flexible availability for full-time or part-time work.
