San Francisco Meat Co. is looking to employ a full-time Butcher Shop Concierge for our butcher shop located in the heart of San Francisco. We are family owned and proud to work closely with vendors, customers, and our internal team to provide the highest quality meat and the most trusted customer service.

The Butcher Shop Concierge will be responsible for greeting, checking out customers, and taking sandwich orders from customers. The Butcher Shop Concierge will work directly with customers and must have great customer service skills.

Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Warmly greeting and welcoming every guest as they enter to create a friendly, inviting atmosphere

•Providing customers with helpful, friendly, and prompt service

•Answering incoming phone calls, taking customer orders, and relaying messages and special requests to the appropriate team member

•Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized front-of-house area, including the entrance, counter, dining area, and front display

•Maintain dry goods and merchandise front shelves in downtime

•Department sales growth with suggestive sales

•Maintains company and food safety guidelines sanitation and refrigeration standards

•Prepares and displays product quality and appearance

•Product knowledge (cooking methods-recipes-signature items)

•Performs opening and closing procedures to company and food safety guidelines standards with respect to sanitation, display and handling responsibilities.

•Maintains ordering and receiving standards by communication and follow through with department manager

•Works within company programs, policies, and procedures

•Check out customers

•Other duties as assigned

Previous experience in a deli or butcher shop setting preferred.

Hourly Rate:

$21.00 + tips

Schedule:

Wednesday – Sunday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
