Position Overview:
Provides professional nursing care to assigned OB/GYN patients. Assists physicians with examinations, labor and delivery, operates and monitors medical equipment, and records relevant statistics, including time of birth. Provides immediate and comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods. Observes patient's condition, records observation in patient medical records, and updates attending physician directly when necessary. The RN will be responsible for meeting the standards required by AACN, JCAHO, GMC, and other regulating agencies for managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment in the unit.
Position Highlights:
  • Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Starting Rate: $32.75 + per hour (commensurate with experience)
  • Shift Differentials: $2.50 - $5.00 per hour
  • Sign On Bonus Eligible: Up to $20,000 (if full-time)
  • Retirement Benefits: NC Local Government Pension Plan (5-year vesting period)
  • Loan Forgiveness: Eligible employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina. Minimum one year experience as an OB RN preferred. Fetal monitoring certification, NRP certification and BLS certification required within 6 month of hire date. Knowledge of current OB trends and techniques in nursing appropriate to the practice setting. STABLE Certification preferred.
