Job description

Pay Range:  $65 per 45-minute class \u007C $50 per 30-minute class
Location: Two locations in Boston, MA at the thriving 100 Summer Street Squash Club and 160 Federal Street 
Work Hours: This is an on-call substitute instructor opportunity. Current class times include Monday 5:30–6:15 PM, Tuesday 5:15–6:00 PM, and Wednesday 12:00–12:45 PM. Additional substitute opportunities may be available Monday–Thursday between 12:00–12:30 PM. Substitutes are not expected to cover every class; however, preference will be given to instructors who can support one or more of these time slots as needed. Please include your availability in your application.

Your Mission:
Your mission as a Group Fitness Instructor is to deliver engaging and effective Slow Flow and Power Flow yoga classes across two premier corporate wellness locations in the Boston area. While yoga instruction is the primary focus of this role, candidates with experience teaching Pilates, Sculpt, or other group fitness formats will also be considered. You'll create a welcoming, inclusive environment where participants of all experience levels feel supported, challenged, and inspired.


What You’re Responsible For:
  • Group Programming: Lead engaging, high-quality yoga classes ranging from slow flow to power flow for a diverse corporate membership population. Deliver safe, well-structured classes that accommodate varying fitness levels, abilities, and yoga experience while fostering participation, wellness, and community.
  • Five-Star Hospitality Service: Create an exceptional participant experience by preparing the class space in advance, ensuring equipment is set up, and maintaining a welcoming, professional environment before, during, and after each class. Anticipate participant needs and focus on the details that elevate the overall experience.
  • Tenant Satisfaction & Engagement: Build positive relationships with participants and actively engage with members to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Help drive class attendance, satisfaction, and ongoing participation through approachable instruction and community-building.
  • Independent Instruction: Comfortably teach in a corporate setting with varying spaces, equipment, and class setups. Work independently with limited on-site supervision while maintaining a high standard of instruction, professionalism, and reliability.
Baseline Requirements:
  • You have 1+ years of experience teaching group Yoga, Pilates, and/or Sculpt classes in a fitness center or studio environment.
  • Experience in the corporate fitness or wellness industry is preferred. Candidates with experience teaching additional group fitness formats (e.g., Strength, HIIT, Barre, etc.) is a plus. 
  • You hold a valid 200-hour RYT Yoga certification or a nationally recognized Pilates instructor certification, if applicable.
  • You maintain current CPR and AED certification.
  • You maintain active professional liability insurance or are willing to obtain coverage prior to providing services.
  • You're comfortable using technology and can assist members with class registration through our wellness platform.
