This role includes the exciting opportunityprovidecare in Cleveland Clinic Main Campus' new NeurologicalInstitute. Thisnew, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor,state-of-the-artfacilityisdesigned to elevate care for complex neurological conditions - including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiplesclerosisand stroke.

In addition to working in the new Neurological Institute, caregivers in this role will have the opportunity to provide patient care inadditionalareas across Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, including Cardiac, Digestive Disease, Medical-Surgical and more.


Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist andare responsible forpreparing patients for the exam,movingand instructing the patient into the proper position, correctlyoperatingthe equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient.


A caregiver in this positionworksfull-time| 7:00am-5:30pm| rotatingweekendand holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Perform radiology exams and fluoroscopic proceduresonpatients of all ages.

  • Perform ED/surgical procedures (trauma cases, fluoroscopic exams to include vascular, general medicine, ortho, cardiac, GI, GU, neuro, pediatrics, and general procedures) in a sterile environment.

  • Produce images ofoptimalquality for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.

  • Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed.

  • Assistin scheduling patients.

  • Monitor anddeterminepriorityof patients.

  • Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam.

  • Demonstrate the care and operation ofradiography equipment according to technical specifications and applications.

  • Assist Radiologists,physiciansand surgeons with procedures.

  • Have knowledge ofacquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS.

  • Have knowledge ofbilling via RIS.

  • Maintain documentation requirements to ensure that all technical data is enteredtimelyand accurately.

  • Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires andradiology students.

  • Continuallystriveto learn new technical information and skills through attendingperiodic in-service programs andparticipatingin professional affiliation sessions.

  • Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities and locationsas needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology

  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing

  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross

  • Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $29.00

Maximum hourly: $44.50

A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
