Job description

Position Overview
The Maintenance Worker supports the mission of Marian Central Catholic High School by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. This position involves daily cleaning, facility, upkeep, light repairs, and general maintenance tasks throughout the school and surrounding grounds.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming as needed.
โ€ข Perform routine maintenance and repair work such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs and minor plumbing, electrical or carpentry tasks.
โ€ข Set up and break down spaces for school events, assemblies and meetings.
โ€ข Ensure grounds and entryways are clean, safe and free from debris or snow.
โ€ข Organize maintenance supplies and equipment; notify the Director of Facilities when stock needs replenishing.
โ€ข Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and other manual tasks as requested.
โ€ข Follow safety procedures and maintain a secure facility.
โ€ข Indoor and outdoor tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
โ€ข Experience in custodial, facilities, or general maintenance work preferred.
โ€ข Ability to perform basic repairs and safely use hand and power towels.
โ€ข Dependable, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
โ€ข Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform manual labor.
โ€ข Must successfully pass a background check.
โ€ข Commitment to the values and mission of a Catholic parish and school environment.

$17-20 based on experience
