WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Working Ranch and Guest Hospitality


Description

The retail sales attendant assists with running the ranch gift shop. They must provide high quality customer service. Individuals in this position must be knowledgeable about all products displayed, helpful in answering questions and making suggestions. Must be positive, cheerful and friendly when working with customers. The retail sales attendant is able to work alone with initiative and handle daily transactions accurately.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily preparation for opening the store.
  • Sales and service to customers.
  • Restock merchandise as needed.
  • Daily maintenance of the store.
  • Refold clothing and straighten items on shelves.
  • Sweep, dust, throw trash away.
  • Record transactions accurately.
  • Set up and maintain attractive store displays.
  • Gather merchandise when requested for donations and special events.
  • Provide information to guests about the ranch and activities.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic math skills
  • One year’s experience in a retail environment
  • Comfortable learning and using computer/register system
  • Fluency in English
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs., reach, move carry bulky items.
