Job description

Orlando Health Lakeland Highlands Hospital opens in the summer of 2026 and invites you to explore the Pathology opportunity in a thriving, professionally managed healthcare system.  The hospital will open with 302 inpatient beds, which is double from our original announced count of 136 beds.  The hospital will include 30 ICU/progressive care rooms, 16 patient rooms to support a women’s birthing program, shelled space for a future NICU, a 48-bed emergency department along with imaging, a laboratory, and a pharmacy. 

Role Requirements: 

  • Pathologist – MD or DO  

  • Strong general Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology skills are required 

  • Breast pathology expertise is a plus 

  • Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology 

  • Board Certified in Cytopathology  

  • Must possess/ability to obtain a Florida Medical License 

  • Hospital location – 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL  33812
