Job description

Part-Time Ranch Hand

Location: Seamark Ranch - Green Cove Springs, FL
Schedule: Part-Time (up to 20-25 hours per week; flexible scheduling available)
Reports To: Facilities Manager

Position Summary

Seamark Ranch is seeking a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Ranch Hand
to support the upkeep and daily operations of our 465-acre campus. This role involves hands-on work in property maintenance, animal care, landscaping, and assisting with facility maintenance and various projects across the Ranch. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, take pride in their work, and align with Seamark Ranch's mission to provide a Christ-centered environment for children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with groundskeeping duties: mowing, trimming, weeding, and general landscape upkeep
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs: fence mending, trail clearing, painting, etc.
  • Assist with facility and infrastructure maintenance and construction.
  • Support animal care: feeding, cleaning pens/stalls, and maintaining livestock areas
  • Help with gardening and agricultural projects (planting, watering, harvesting)
  • Clean and maintain workspaces, tools, and equipment
  • Assist during Ranch events, special projects, or volunteer days
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized environment

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate hand/power tools safely
  • Reliable transportation to and from the Ranch
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take direction and work independently or on a team
  • Must pass Level 2 background checks (DCF and MVR, if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in general labor, landscaping, agriculture, or ranch work
  • Familiarity with basic livestock care and small farm operations
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Seamark Ranch

Compensation

  • Hourly wage based on experience
