Job Description
Summer Associates function in Teller capacities to help support our offices during the summer months. Summer associates provide an excellent customer service experience by welcoming customers, efficiently processing banking transactions, resolving customer issues, and uncovering opportunities for referral to support our customers' financial needs.
The Summer Associate will be required to travel to other branches within the area as needed.
Availability for full-time hours is preferred (37.5-40 hours weekly) on a temporary basis (May/June to August 2024)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
โ€ข Assist customers and visitors with questions, problem resolution, and other needs. Proactively engage with customers to understand needs and inform them of product/service features and benefits. Refer customers to appropriate team member for complex requests or products/services
โ€ข Actively engage with and greet customers and take ownership to resolve any customer issues or concerns
โ€ข Balance teller drawer daily and participate/assist in office meetings/huddles, operations meetings, and dual control balancing of vault, ATM, and any other device, as needed
โ€ข Deliver on our North(west) star experience and champion our customer's financial wellness through delivery of exceptional customer experience - both in person, over the phone, and through email communications
โ€ข Complete educational training as assigned and self-educate using bank designed programs and applications
โ€ข Have general knowledge of all office systems and software, perform maintenance and possess an in-depth knowledge of bank products, services, and digital offerings
โ€ข Knowledge and adherence to all security and dual control processes
โ€ข Responsible to participate in branch opening and closing tasks as needed
โ€ข Protect the bank from unnecessary risk by following compliance, risk, and operational procedures
โ€ข Work as a team with co-workers to complete daily tasks, demonstrating respect and professionalism, being prompt, and supporting management with special requests as needed
โ€ข Work evening hours and weekends as scheduled, assigned, or necessary
โ€ข Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
โ€ข Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
โ€ข Work as part of a team
โ€ข Work with on-site equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Customer Service Experience preferred
Cash Handling Experience preferred
Banking and/or Retail Experience preferred
Current or incoming college and university students studying finance, accounting, business administration, or economics will be given preference for this role.
