Job Description

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking Seasonal Summer Production Associatesto work at our food processing facility in Lowville, NY. A Seasonal Production Associate is responsible for performing tasks to support general operations of the facility. Tasks will include, but are not limited to material handling, the loading of packaging supplies into machinery, the basic operation of cream cheese packaging/processing equipment, and equipment cleaning and sanitizing. This position must support all business systems (such as QCDSM, ISO, GMP's) while working in a team environment.

Compensation Overview:

  • $21.56/hr
  • $1.00 shift differential for secondand$1.25 shift differential for third shift.

Work Schedule:

Seeking Night shift associates working on a 3-on 4-off rotation. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

The Lowville plant produces the legendary Philadelphia Cream Cheese! Built in 1971, the facility is over 400,000 square feet and houses 13 production lines. Milk and creamissupplied by local farms. With over 400 employees, the plant is one of the largest employers in Lewis County.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Peel rework and run through the salvage press for continuous hours of your shift.
  • Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
  • Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines.
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using manual or powered lifts.
  • Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks.
  • Pack and store materials and products.
  • Dump materials such as prepared ingredients into machine hoppers prior to mixing.
  • Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.
  • Read gauges or charts, and record data obtained
  • Clean and lubricate equipment.
  • Prepare raw materials for processing.
  • Wash work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, or products.
  • Break up defective products for reprocessing.
  • Responsible for conducting and documenting quality checks within the required structure such as weight control records, code date checksheets, etc.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader
  • Responsible to follow FSQ requirements such as GMPs and other daily/job specific duties to support QRMP
  • Responsible to follow all company established safety policies and procedures.

Sanitation: Will ensure that the equipment and machinery they work with is cleaned and sanitized according to the Kraft Heinz Sanitation Program rules explained at the beginning of the employment and during refresher sessions

Quality Assurance: Ensures all products manufactured align with the Quality Assurance Program and policies reviewed during the on the job training applicable to this specific operation function

Safety: Will follow the Kraft Heinz Safety Process and will keep themself and others away from harm while performing their duties. Will adhere to LOTO policy and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Able to work on all shifts,weekendsand Holidays

  • Workdays may fluctuate from week to week based on production

  • A Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent experience or general education diploma (GED)

  • Must havestrong communicationskills
