Job description

A kind family on the east side of Los Angeles is looking for a full-time nanny for their two children, ages 5 and 9. The schedule will be as follows: Tuesday through Friday 3- 8 pm and Saturday 8 am-8 pm. For a candidate wanting more hours and some family assistant tasks, days can start at 1 pm. Days off will be Sunday and Monday. There is an option for additional hours Thursday mornings and date nights with notice. The family is open to live-out or live-in candidates. If live-in, there is a separate bedroom and bathroom space above the garage. This creative and fun family is looking for a long-term fit and truly values the person taking care of their children. The family travels 4-6 weeks every summer and then shorter trips during school holidays (winter break and spring break). 


  • Full childcare, including transporting to activities/sports, school pickup, helping with dinner and bedtime routines, and homework assistance 
  • Child-related light housekeeping (keeping playroom, bedrooms, and shared spaces tidy) and cooking 

  • Adventurous and excited to get out and about with the children, especially on Saturdays. Happy to plan outings such as the Aquarium, Zoo, Travel Town, etc. 
  • Proactive and a team player. The parents are involved, so knowing when to step in and out is essential. 
  • Someone who is fun for the kids, but also knows the boundaries with the parents and when the grandparents want to spend time with the children

  • Willing and excited to travel, including over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and summer 
  • Driver's license and clean driving record; nanny car available for work-related driving
  • TrustLine certified, or willing to certify 
  • Several years of experience as a nanny caring for school-age children in a private residence
  • Water safe/competent swimmer and comfortable being in the water with children 

$40-45+ per hour plus PTO, sick days, and paid time off
