Private Family in the Upper East Side, New York Seeking a Live-In Weekend Nanny
(Summer in the Hamptons; Academic Year in NYC)

Position:WeekendNanny, Live-In over the weekend
Schedule:Friday-Sunday, 30-35 hours
Salary:$40$45+ per hour, depending on experience, PTO, holidays off paid, health insurance stipend

About the Family

A warm and welcoming private family based on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is seeking a professional, experienced, and nurturing weekend nanny to care for their two young daughters.

The family has adaughter, 3 years, and they also welcomed a new baby girl in mid-March. The parents are looking for someone who is warm, thoughtful, and proactivesomeone who will become a trusted partner in raising their children and supporting their development.

The family values kindness, good manners, and respectful behavior, and they hope to find a nanny who shares these values and can guide the children with warmth while also setting appropriate boundaries.The position is at the familys Hamptons home June through August, and the familys primary residence on the Upper East Side in the fall-late spring.

Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for both children, including infant care and toddler engagement.
  • Support the childrens physical, emotional, and cognitive development, ensuring age-appropriate developmental milestones are encouraged.
  • During the summer months in the Hamptons, drive the older child to and from summer camp as needed.
  • During the school year in New York City, walk the child to and from her half-day 3s program, coordinating schedules with parents.
  • Prepare the children each morning fro activities, including getting dressed and ready for the day.
  • Plan thoughtful, creative, and engaging activities when the children are not in school or camp, including educational play, outings, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Research and identifylocal classes, programs, and activities appropriate for both children and proactively organize participation.
  • Provide attentive infant care, including feeding, nap schedules, and developmental play, and take the baby to age-appropriate activities.
  • Prepare healthy breakfast and lunch for the children each day.
  • Maintain organization of childrens belongings, play areas, and daily routines.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding schedules, development, and activities.
  • Travel with the family for occasional short domestic weekend trips
