Job description

Summary: Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (YSG) is seeking a highly qualified Warfighter Training Advisor (WTA) to provide comprehensive Warfighter Training Support Services at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). The purpose of this position is to support the planning, development, execution, management, and evaluation of military training for approximately 4,200 cadets annually during both the academic year and summer training programs.

This position will assist the USAFA in delivering a coherent, progressive, and operationally relevant 47-month cumulative military training continuum aligned with Department of the Air Force (DAF) readiness objectives, Joint Force expectations, and USAFA cadet development outcomes. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: Advises USAFA/CW group leadership and provides oversight to Subject Matter Experts/Instructors (SME/Is) and Combat Survival Instructor (CSI). Task 1 - Program development.

Advise on the development of a comprehensive warfighter training program and collaborate with planners to develop courseware for 4,000+ cadets across a 47-month cycle. Review current courseware and advise on future development. Ensure that the courseware aligns with Higher Headquarters (HHQ) identified desired learning outcomes.

All curricula must include air, space, and cyber-focused operational training environments. Schedule development. Manage schedules to ensure all training objectives are met during the applicable training periods.

Develop cadet evaluation tools and templates. Ensure templates and evaluation tools encompass all training objectives to allow for accurate recording and documentation in accordance with USAFA guidance and procedures. Explore the possibility of modern technology enablement to include advanced simulation while maintaining integrated instructional support and sustained operational execution at scale.

Also explore future MU mission integration. Set goals for building an overall training program that has future sustainability from year to year. Task 2 - Planning.

Support development of training scenarios and exercises for evaluation and implementation at multiple levels. Review training scenarios and objectives then assess equipment requirements for cadets, instructors, and support staff. Advise permanent party on funding requests, infrastructure, facilities, equipment, manpower, and support resource requirements.

Support the planning of large institutional exercises or smaller group/squadron level training for silver training weekends Supports the development of PLANORDs, OPORDs, EXORDs, FRAGOs, CONOPS in line with warfighter training requirements. Task 3 - Execution and Management. Serve as a Training Advisors (WTA) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to USAFA leadership, providing instruction, dynamic execution of simulation experiences and exercises, document cadet performance, and enforce safety standards.

Command and Control (C2). The contractor shall support training that develops cadet understanding and application of mission command principles. Intelligence.

The contractor shall support training that develops cadet awareness and application of intelligence processes, such as analyzing intelligence and conducting post-mission debriefs. Information. The contractor shall support training that develops cadet understanding of the information environment, including OPSEC and responding to misinformation.

Fires. The contractor shall support training that develops cadet familiarity with the planning, coordination, and control of fires, including applying rules of engagement (ROE). Movement and Maneuver.

The contractor shall support training that develops cadet understanding and application of maneuver concepts, such as selecting movement techniques and executing actions on contact. Protection. The contractor shall support training that develops cadet awareness and application of protection concepts, including security for personnel and practicing noise/light discipline.

Sustainment. The contractor shall support training that develops cadet understanding of sustainment principles, including casualty evacuation and logistics resupply. Combat Survival.

The contractor shall support academic and experiential advanced field training that complements and builds upon current/future USAFA warfighter skills training continuum, including Code of Conduct, survival, evasion and recovery TTPs. Field Forces. The contractor will be required to provide personnel for multiple roles.

Each position will be expected to perform all tasks and subtasks to varying levels of responsibility. Task 4 - Program Evaluation. Develop assessment tools, conduct After Action Reviews (AARs), analyze performance data, and provide written reports.

Develop feedback and assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of each course and the overarching cadet military training program. Ensure Squadrons via Group WTA are inputting assessments into the tool to support MPA, stan-eval and warfighter training evolution. Conduct AARs and consolidate feedback to inform USAFA leadership and identify any necessary course modifications.

Advise on training scalability, adaptability, MU mission integration, and overall training program sustainment from year to year. Task 5 - Digital Technology Integration and Usability. Integrate a mature digital commercial off the self (COTS) technical solution compatible with .edu and .mil networks for data capture and analysis

The COTS system should be capable of - but not limited to - logging assessments, data tracking and serve as a framework to evolve the program through data analysis. A system that is smart phone compatible for remote logging of dataRequired Qualifications: Must possess 10+ years of military training and exercise planning experience. Demonstrated expertise in large-scale training in design and execution.

Demonstrated experience developing curriculum, lesson plans, and Programs of Instruction (POIs). Demonstrated experience supporting operational training execution, cadet or student assessment, and safety enforcement. Experience briefing senior leaders and producing written assessments and recommendations.

Experience that aligns to Performance Work Statement (PWS) Tasks, outlined in the Specified Duties above: Supports Task 1 (Program Development), Task 2 (Planning), Task 3 (Execution and Management), Task 4 (Program Evaluation), and Task 5 (Digital Tech Integration).
