Overview

The job of Summer Grounds Crew Member is a customer service oriented position in which crew members will participate in grounds maintenance and equipment operation tasks to ensure the upkeep of University grounds, drives, walks, athletic fields and parking areas.

General Purpose: Work with the Grounds crew for the purpose of completing projects in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining quality and meeting standards.

Responsibilities

Participate in duties such as mowing, edging, weed trimming, watering, and land scaping
Operate a variety of grounds equipment ( mowers, weed trimmers & gardening / landscaping tools)
Drive and operate UTV
Maintenance to paving including minor asphalt repairs and parking lot striping
Basic landscaping upkeep including planting, shrub maintenance, and maintaining mulch beds
Clean and maintain outdoor areas such as patios, roads, sidewalks and parking lots
Comply with safety standards to meet the University, State & Government standards
Operate & work in a safe manner at all times

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
