Job Description
Serve as a member of the C.U. Summer Camp Staff
  • Help get residence halls ready for summer campers
  • Check for broken or misplaced furniture before camps begin
  • Install new shower curtains in Village Apartments & South Hall East
  • Lower beds if needed (Kentucky Baptist Deaf Conference)
  • Make sure the keys are sorted and in the correct envelopes before each camp arrives
  • Check rooms in the residence halls for placement of furniture
  • Work camp concessions in the evenings (at least 4 Summer Ministry Team members each evening)
  • Assist camp groups during the check-in and checking-out process
  • Assist with campers checking into the residence halls
  • Trash bags & toilet paper in Village Apartments & South Hall East
  • Assist with campers checking out of the residence halls
  • Walk through with group leader to check for damages & cleanliness when a group checks out of the residence hall
  • Make sure ALL trash is out of the residence halls before a group leaves campus
  • Sometimes we need to help the GRM with basic needs in the residence halls
  • Be a resource/informational person for the groups staying in the residence halls
  • Work behind the desk at Books n' Beans (3-hour shifts / 2 people per shift)
  • Be a residence hall monitor especially in the evenings. All of the camps have a curfew time - help the adult chaperones enforce this when you see a camper out after curfew
  • Assist the dining hall in the serving of two meals
  • Day #3 Breakfast - bacon & French toast sticks/syrup
  • Day #3 Dinner - pizza & hand-dipped ice cream
  • Help pull tee-shirts for each summer camp participant
  • Sign Bibles to give to each child that makes a first-time decision for Christ
