Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a high school graduate or possess a GED
Hiring Process
Once your application has been reviewed and references have been checked, the Substitute Coordinator will contact you to continue the hiring process.
All applicants must complete fingerprinting for a background check.
  • Cost: $32.00
  • Payment: Check or money order payable to Vallivue School District
  • Cash will not be accepted
  • Payment must be received before activation in the substitute system
Substitute Pay Rates
All substitutes-whether in Certified positions (Classroom Teacher) or Classified positions (Paraprofessional/Aide)-are paid:
  • $130.00 per full day
  • $65.00 per half day
