To thrive as a Subpoena Paralegal, you need a solid understanding of legal procedures, strong organizational skills, and experience with document management, typically backed by a paralegal certificate or relevant legal studies. Familiarity with legal research databases, case management software, and e-filing systems is commonly required. Attention to detail, discretion, and effective communication are essential soft skills for managing sensitive information and coordinating with legal teams and external parties. These skills ensure subpoenas are accurately prepared, compliant with regulations, and efficiently processed to support case outcomes.
