Job Title: Litigation Paralegal (Construction)

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $80,000–$90,000 annually + annual bonus

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM; In-office five days per week initially with hybrid flexibility available after approximately 90 days.

Our client is a well-established law firm in Austin seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their growing team. This newly created position will support experienced attorneys within the firm's litigation practice, with a primary focus on Commercial Litigation and additional exposure to Personal Injury matters.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can independently manage priorities, anticipate attorney needs, and provide high-level litigation support in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys through all stages of litigation, from case inception through trial. This role requires strong litigation experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including case preparation, discovery, and trial.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
  • Manage litigation calendars, court deadlines, and docket schedules.
  • Prepare materials for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Organize, review, and summarize discovery materials and case documents.
  • Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
  • Maintain case files and documentation using Filevine.
  • Track attorney time and case information using LMS.
  • Assist with trial preparation and overall case management.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Litigation experience required.
  • Personal Injury experience or exposure preferred.
  • Experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation from inception through trial.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas court procedures and filings.
  • Experience with discovery, deposition preparation, trial preparation, and case management.
  • Experience with Filevine or similar case management software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Paralegal certificate or legal education preferred.
