Job description

AMMT - Maintenance School

Manufacturing Department

Announcement No.: MS2026-01

Position Summary:

This is a 2-year program that includes 26 weeks of classroom and applied instructions combined with on-the-job training.

Outline of duties:

  • Ability to perform as a multi-skilled Maintenance Associate including, but not limited to, electrical, electronic, PLC, controls, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
  • Perform corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Initiate, document, and participate in company-wide Kaizen projects.
  • Ability to perform maintenance tasks that will require work at a multitude of elevations in the plant.
  • Active in Safety, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Participation in additional technical training opportunities.
  • Must be able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to complete Maintenance skill / knowledge assessment evaluations on own time.
  • Available to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, split shifts and/or weekends on short notice as required.
  • A Resume is required to move forward in this process.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Basic mechanical & analytical aptitude
  • Skilled in the repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC equipment
  • Experienced in jig fabrication, skilled in welding techniques (Arc/Gas), air tool use and small hand tool use Familiar with the SIA manufacturing process.
  • Documented completion of training in electrical/electronic/mechanical/PLC areas
  • Strong team orientation
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
