Job description

The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Clinical Nurse Manger in promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective leadership on his/her assigned unit(s). The Team Leader assists the Clinical Nurse Manager in coordinating activities and schedules, disseminating information, and promoting a positive working environment for staff, physician, LIP's and ancillary departments. The Team Leader works closely with Clinical Nurse Manager to hold staff accountable for following JSMC policy/procedure, CMS standards and regulations and JC standards and regulations. The Team Leader must also embrace the Studer Philosophies and Principles by conducting him/herself in a professional and positive manner. The Team Leader will mentor staff and validate staff performance. The Team Leader will attend and participate in meetings/committees for process and performance improvement. The Team Leader must be able to act as Clinical Nurse Manager in absence of Clinical Nurse Manager.

Required Skills

Minimum Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.


Required Experience

Required Licenses: Registered Nurses
Must hold current license by the state of Kentucky or hold license in a compact state as a Registered Nurse. Maintain BLS certification. ACLS preferred.

Minimum Work Experience: Minimum 2 years RN Clinical Setting required.
