Job description

Housekeeping Services Team Member Job Description
VIR Resort Operations is growing our housekeeping team with the opening of our newly renovated lodging accommodations in 2023. Our goal is to provide a flawless guest experience and you will be required to maintain a high level of cleanliness standards. To be a successful member of the team, you should be able to complete tasks as assigned by the Resort Manager, Supervisor or Lead. Training will be conducted and all supplies and tools are provided.
Housekeeping Team Member Responsibilities:
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by the Resort Manager, Supervisor or Lead
  • Deliver excellent customer service to our Guests
  • Clean and tidy all areas to VIR standards of cleanliness within time limits
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types
  • Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture
  • Scrubbing and sanitizing room fixtures
  • Empty trash cans and Stock amenities
  • Record all serviced rooms on daily assignment sheet
  • Handle guest complaints or requests and inform management when required
  • Inform the Resort Manager, Supervisor or Lead of shortages, damages, maintenance requests or security issues
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and act in accordance with company policies and licensing laws
  • Cross-train on Janitorial Services procedures

Benefits are available for the full-time positions.
Increase in pay will be awarded on a yearly basis as deemed appropriate by the Resort Manager and Resort Director.

Requirements
Housekeeping Team Member Requirements:
  • Weekend availability
  • Professionalism while interacting with Guests and Team Members
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service, as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven working experience in relevant field
  • Ability to work independently and remain motivated
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and time management skills
  • Knowledge of the English language
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
