Job description

Title: Student Support Assistant

Position Type: Workstudy

Department: CCD Student Learning Support (EXCEL! Zone)

Salary Range: 19.29

Job Summary:

The EXCEL! Zone provides student learning resources that support student academic success, learning development, and engagement to enhance personal and professional growth.
Student Support Assistants (SSA) are the first point of contact in assisting students in welcoming them to the EXCEL! Zone. SSA's ensure high-quality customer service for students and staff member in person or by phone.

Duties & Responsibilities:

SSA's serve students as peer support with customer service, routine needs as directing student the appropriate zone for tutoring and learning resources. Provide impromptu tours, monitor of tutoring zones, and regular maintenance.
50% Assist and greet students in a friendly and supportive manner
40% Monitor assigned tutoring zone area and assist with regular tutoring space maintenance
10% Administrative support duties assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be enrolled at CCD with at least 6 credit hours, Be financial aid eligible, and have a complete financial aid file. Minimum GPA 2.75 (New students exempt first semester)
No Experience Required - Training Provided

Preferred Qualifications:

Customer service background
Proficient in Microsoft 365
Use of computer software programs and D2L
