Job description

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
This position greets and processes all visitors at the Enrollment Center front desk and assists with campus visitors and students. Additionally, while on campus; conducts other general clerical
assignments for the Express Enrollment Center and campus. This position is designed to enhance the operations of enrollment services provided to all incoming and continuing students and serves as first
point of contact to address day to day operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responds to questions and requests from students, the public, faculty, administrators, and staff and refers to the appropriate area or individual on the campus.
  • As needed clerical duties for campus functions.
  • Signs students into queueing system and can answer basic questions about dual credit, dual enrollment, admissions, registration, financial aid, orientation, assessment, and advising processes.
  • Assists with special projects, including data entry and imaging.
  • Works effectively among several computer platforms utilized by the Enrollment department.
  • Functions effectively within a team environment and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Maintains working knowledge of emergency/safety procedures as provided by the supervisor.
  • Conducts all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associates degree with comparable experience in a similar setting preferred.
  • High level of technical competency in all phases of clerical procedures and records management.
  • Composition, spelling, and proofreading skills are needed.
