Job description

Resolute Performance Iron (a Division of Sletten Companies) is a specialty steel contractor seeking a Structural Steel Foreman.
Structural Steel Foreman oversees and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in the installation and
erection of structural steel. This position requires thorough knowledge of structural steel work, strong
leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of structural steel workers, including welders, riggers and other related trades.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines, work sequences, and resource allocation in collaboration with the Project
  • Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications, blueprints, and safety standards.
  • Inspect work areas and complete work to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications and industry
  • standards.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to steel erection and installation.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure work is completed with attention to detail
  • Enforce all safety protocols and procedures on the job site, conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Ensure all workers are using proper Personal Protective Equipment and are trained in safety practices
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents or delays
  • Resolve conflicts and promote teamwork among crew members
  • Motivate and encourage workers to meet project goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
  • Experienced in structural steel fabrication to AISC standards
  • Ability to read architectural/structural plans and design document
  • Organized, attentive, and detail oriented
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leadership experience is preferred
  • Travel to job sites will be required

  • Office and shop location is in Phoenix, AZ
  • Work enforcement requires the ability to sit, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, and lift up to 50lbs.
