Description

Kalos Services is growing and looking for an experienced Structural Steel Foreman to lead our field crews on commercial construction projects throughout Central Florida. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, leads by example, and knows how to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.


As a Structural Steel Foreman, you will be responsible for developing crews, coaching future leaders, and creating a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. You'll manage personnel, provide hands-on training, evaluate performance, and ensure every team member has the tools and support to succeed. Location: Travel required throughout the state of Florida

Compensation: $35 - $40 hourly based on experience.ย 


Schedule

  • Primarily Night Shift

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and mentor structural steel crews while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Train new hires and apprentices on company standards, safety procedures, and best installation practices.
  • Conduct ongoing field training to improve craftsmanship, productivity, and technical skills.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide regular coaching, feedback, and development plans.
  • Identify future crew leaders and actively develop internal talent.
  • Manage crew scheduling, workforce planning, and labor allocation across multiple projects.
  • Promote employee engagement and maintain a positive, professional work environment.
  • Address performance concerns promptly while recognizing and encouraging employee growth.
  • Partner with Project Managers and company leadership to ensure crews are properly staffed, trained, and equipped for success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial structural steel erection experience.
  • Proven leadership experience managing field crews on commercial construction projects.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated success coaching, mentoring, and developing field personnel.
  • Experience managing manpower, scheduling, productivity, and jobsite performance.
  • Knowledge of rigging, crane operations, steel erection methods, welding, and bolted connections.
  • Commitment to jobsite safety with a thorough understanding of OSHA standards (OSHA 30 preferred).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout Florida and work night shifts as project schedules require.
