We have an immediate need for a Structural Engineer (Buildings) to join our fast-growing team in our Edison, NJ office. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of building structural engineering projects, including new construction, rehabilitation, and renovations, within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

This role provides hands-on experience and direct mentorship from senior engineers, with the opportunity to support projects from initial investigation and design through construction administration. Responsibilities
  • Perform structural engineering analysis and design for building structures, including structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood systems
  • Assist with site investigations to observe and document existing conditions and structural deficiencies
  • Develop and review engineering calculations, and assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate structural work with in-house architects and other engineering disciplines to support integrated project delivery
  • Support the construction administration phase through site visits, field observations, submittal/RFI reviews, and responses to construction-related issues
  • Contribute to projects ranging from small renovations and rehabilitation projects to large-scale new construction
  • Work collaboratively with senior staff and project managers to meet schedule, budget, and quality objectives
  • Take on increasing technical responsibility and limited task-level leadership as experience grows

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering (Masterโ€™s degree a plus)
  • 4โ€“8 years of relevant structural engineering experience with an emphasis on building structures
  • PE preferred (EIT required; active progress toward licensure expected)
  • Strong understanding and practical application of applicable building codes and design standards
  • Experience with structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, RAM, SAP2000, RISA, STAAD, etc.)
  • AutoCAD required; Revit experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a team environment
