Job description

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they are doing!
We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

Position Summary

DuBois is seeking a high-performing business leader to help drive the next evolution of the DuBois Operating System.

The Director, Strategy & Execution serves as a strategic partner and AI-enabled Chief of Staff to the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Operating Officer. This role is responsible for accelerating performance by combining strategy, operating discipline, structured problem solving, and AI-enabled workflows that strengthen execution across the commercial and operations organizations.

Working horizontally across Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Logistics, Service, and Portfolio Management, the successful candidate will help translate strategy into results through disciplined execution, rapid root-cause identification, and a relentless focus on the critical drivers of performance. This leader will ensure resources, priorities, and actions remain aligned to enterprise goals while helping remove barriers to execution and accelerate decision making.

The position reports to the Vice President, Strategy & Execution and partners daily with the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Initiative Leadership

  • Support key growth initiatives and transformation programs.

  • Coordinate execution across multiple stakeholders.

  • Drive accountability, issue resolution, and benefit realization.

Strategic Partner to the Chief Revenue Officer & Chief Operating Officer

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and extension of the Commercial & Operations Leadership Teams.

  • Support strategy deployment and execution.

  • Help prioritize opportunities, risks, and improvement initiatives.

  • Drive alignment across functions and business priorities.

Business Performance Management

  • Monitor key performance indicators.

  • Identify performance gaps and emerging opportunities.

  • Lead structured root-cause investigations.

  • Facilitate corrective action planning and execution.

  • Track performance improvement efforts and realized business impact.

AI-Enabled Operating Mechanisms

  • Develop and improve AI-enabled workflows that support execution.

  • Leverage emerging technologies to accelerate insight generation and action planning.

  • Improve the quality and consistency of operating reviews.

  • Reduce manual reporting and increase focus on problem solving.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Commercial, Operations, HR, R&D, Finance, and IT teams

  • Ensure commercial & operations decisions support broader enterprise objectives.

  • Lead initiatives that span organizational boundaries.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a business athlete who combines strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and focused execution. They think like a Chief of Staff, operate like a business leader, and leverage AI as a force multiplier. They are equally comfortable facilitating executive discussions, leading problem-solving sessions, challenging assumptions, and driving accountability.

  • Ten or more years of progressive business experience in general management, strategy, business transformation, financial planning and analysis, or management consulting.

  • Three or more years in a enterprise strategy capacity, with demonstrated ownership of business outcomes rather than reporting deliverables.

  • Five or more years leading cross-functional initiatives with executive-level stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience applying structured problem-solving and root-cause methodologies to drive measurable performance improvement.

Typical backgrounds may include:

  • General Management

  • Commercial Excellence

  • Revenue Operations

  • Strategy

  • Business Transformation

  • Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Management Consulting

Experience with AI, business intelligence, and analytics tools is beneficial, but business leadership and execution capability are significantly more important.

Education Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field is required.

  • An MBA or advanced degree in Business, Strategy, or a related discipline is preferred.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt), PMP, or an equivalent continuous improvement credential is preferred.
