Job description

Location New York, NJ, or CT (remote) - NYC office visits 3-4x/year

Hours Part-time 30 hours/week (guaranteed)

Compensation $22/hr Non-exempt Based on experience

Growth Top performers considered for full-time - we promote from within

Eligibility Must reside in NY, NJ, or CT

ABOUT DCM

DCM Inc. is a telefundraising and telemarketing company that partners with organizations in the performing arts, political and social advocacy, and healthcare. We help mission-driven clients run campaigns that connect with real people and deliver real results. Our team is small, collaborative, and deeply invested in the success of the organizations we serve.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Strategy Associate works closely with our Lead Strategist to support the full lifecycle of client campaigns - from launch through close. This is a project management and client-support role: you'll help make sure campaigns run smoothly, clients are informed and confident, and the team has what it needs to perform.

Day to day, that might mean building a goal projection in Excel, preparing a performance report for a client, coordinating with campaign managers to unblock a problem, or joining a client call to provide updates and strategic input. You'll wear a few hats and care about all of them.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support campaign strategy and execution alongside the Lead Strategist from kickoff through final reporting
  • Build and maintain projections, goal tracking, and performance analysis in Excel
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for campaign managers - keeping things coordinated and moving
  • Communicate directly with clients: preparing updates, joining calls, and helping maintain strong working relationships
  • Assist with messaging development and strategy documentation
  • Travel to our Midtown Manhattan office and client sites as needed (approximately 3-4 times per year)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We value curiosity, follow-through, and genuine care for the work. Two things are essential - everything else we can build on:

  • Required - At least 1 year of direct client-facing experience

You've communicated with clients or external stakeholders professionally and know how to manage those relationships with care.

  • Required - Experience supervising or coordinating a small team

You've been responsible for keeping others on track, even in an informal or junior capacity.

  • Comfort with Excel and data - you can build a basic model, interpret metrics, and spot when something looks off
  • Strong written and verbal communication - clear, organized, easy to work with
  • Self-directed and deadline-driven - you can manage your own schedule working remotely
  • Interest in the arts, advocacy, or healthcare - experience in these areas is a plus, not a requirement
  • High school diploma required; some college or equivalent experience preferred

COMPENSATION AND GROWTH

This is a part-time, non-exempt position at $22/hr, with a consistent 30 hours per week and a predictable schedule. Top performers have a clear path to full-time consideration. We're a growing company that promotes from within, and this role is designed to be a real on-ramp for the right person.

OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY

At DCM, we believe diversity is the cornerstone of a thriving workplace. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment that values individuals from all walks of life and strongly encourage applications from LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC candidates, and military veterans.

HOW TO APPLY

Submit a cover letter and resume through the online application. All sections must be completed to be considered. Only qualified applicants will be contacted.
