Job description

The Role

The Senior Strategy Director works alongside other Strategy Directors at Billion Dollar Boy to drive the agency's strategic vision. They will have substantial experience in devising innovative content plans that deliver against client objectives and show them a way to win that they haven't heard before.

The Senior Strategy Director will shape how major brands connect with audiences through creator culture. They will oversee the strategic output for a high-value portfolio of clients and take the strategic lead on large pitches .

They will focus on elevating our creator-led strategic product and act as an inspirational and trusted sounding board for a talented team of 5-6 senior strategists.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with other Strategy Directors to drive overarching team development and initiatives alongside agency leadership
  • Acting as a sounding board to strategists across the team, providing smart feedback to help elevate the collective quality of work
  • Act as the trusted strategic partner for senior-level clients within your portfolio, and grow their business via proactive initiatives and recommendations
  • Pitch leadership: Lead the strategic narrative for major new business pitches and RFPs.
  • Help to close the learning loop on performance - did it work, why, what will we do differently next time
  • Rollout strategic frameworks and approaches that help differentiate the agency perspective
  • Manage strategic resource in collaboration with Resource Management and other senior team members
  • Contribute to agency Thought Leadership including articles, posts, events and sharing new perspectives with key clients
Skills and Attributes
  • Significant experience in devising and executing content strategies that meet client objectives and show what's possible in the creator space
  • Proven expertise in writing inspiring, clear creative briefs that set direction and leverage human insights.
  • 10 - 12+ years of digital marketing experience, with an emphasis on social media and or/content development for major clients
  • Minimum 5 years of managing direct reports
  • A strong understanding of media planning, distribution and content syndication
  • Strong experience leading creative thinking in the digital space: content, media, social and activation
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Well versed in new technology, new content solutions, social media events and developments - plus a strong connection with entertainment and pop culture
  • A proven and dynamic creative problem-solver; able to bring a fresh perspective by connecting the dots in unexpected ways
  • Collaborative, yet independent and proactive – comfortable with sharing thoughts and opinions to build on ideas
  • Established expertise in coaching others, providing guidance and stimulating questions to improve the quality of the work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
