Job description

Title: Data Strategy Operations Manager

Department: Data Procurement and Corporate Development

Reports To: Senior Operations and Strategic Programs Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Denver, CO or Remote

Job Summary

The Data Strategy Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of highly visible initiatives. This role serves as the central point of contact for initiatives spanning across multiple organizations: Data Science, Fraud, Solutions, and Engineering, ensuring these distinct teams work in lockstep to execute on strategic goals. Your primary mission is to provide transparency, streamline communication, and manage complex workstreams to ensure stakeholders are aligned and informed.

Key ResponsibilitiesCross-Departmental Coordination
  • Drive Initiative Execution: Manage the day-to-day progress of high-visibility strategic initiatives, ensuring execution throughout the process from external data partner identification from partner onboarding, data science review through internal stakeholder handoffs.ย 
  • Facilitate Team Alignment: Act as the primary bridge between departments to ensure business andย  technical dependencies are understood and that team efforts are synchronized toward shared goals.
  • Streamline Communication: Establish clear communication channels and cadences to prevent information silos and ensure all teams have the context they need to succeed.
Program Transparency & Monitoring
  • Visibility & Reporting: Maintain accurate, real-time project dashboards and status reports that provide visibility to leadership and team members.ย 
  • Metric Tracking: Oversee the execution of initiatives by tracking clear success metrics and milestones, ensuring accountability across all involved departments.
  • Data-Backed Updates: Regularly leverage project data to provide objective updates on progress, ensuring decisions are based on the current reality of the workstream.
Tactical Project Management
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify potential bottlenecks or misalignments across the four key teams and facilitate the resolution of these issues before they impact delivery.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Lead meetings effectively, ensuring discussions stay focused, key decisions are documented, and actionable next steps are assigned and followed up on.
  • Process Consistency: Ensure all teams are aligned on management frameworks to maintain a high standard of operational excellence and execution.

ย Qualifications & Experience

  • A motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in process improvement, operations, or strategic program management.
  • Formal knowledge of Program management principles, processes, and tools.
  • Experience managing projects within a technology organization.
  • Strong attention to detail, and an ability to execute with precision while managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Skilled in working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and build scalable business processes within an organization.
  • Experience presenting to executive leaders.
  • Ability to motivate colleagues and influence their tasks to align with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Monday.com, Jira, or similar project management skills is preferred but not required

The anticipated salary range for this role is:

  • Metro 2: $135,000 - $150,000 plus company bonus
  • Metro 3: $130,000 - $145,000 plus company bonus

Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, geo-location and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
