Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
Johnson Health Tech is a global leader in the design and manufacture of fitness equipment. Under the direction of the Senior Global Product Training Manager, the Global Product Training Strategist helps shape how our global commercial and retail sales teams learn about our products, competitive position, and evolving solutions.
This hands-on corporate learning role combines instructional design, business writing, event planning, learning-system administration, and continuous improvement. No two projects are exactly alike. The Global Training Strategist may move from developing a product course or competitive comparison to organizing an international training event, producing a webinar, reviewing learner data, or improving how the team delivers content.
The role offers meaningful ownership and the opportunity to recommend new ideas, strengthen existing programs, and help move approved improvements from concept through implementation.
This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys both creative content development and detailed execution. It requires curiosity, sound judgment, strong follow-through, and comfort working across brands, markets, languages, channels, and time zones. Event periods will require travel, extended days, and hands-on problem-solving.
Mission Statement
Delight and excite our customers through truly innovative products, unsurpassed quality, and best-in-class customer experience provided by a world-class organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create Global Brand and Product Content
• Partner with product management, marketing, sales leadership, and subject-matter experts to identify training needs and support commercial and retail product launches
• Design and develop product courses, microlearning, video scripts, presentations, and job aids, applying adult-learning and instructional-design principles
• Translate complex product and technical information into content that is clear, accurate, and relevant to global sales representatives
• Research, write, and maintain competitive product comparisons, discovery questions, and objection responses, verifying facts and positioning with product managers
• Maintain and update learning content throughout its lifecycle, ensuring alignment with brand standards and approved messaging; monitor for accuracy and recommend updates, consolidation, or retirement
Plan and Deliver Training Events, In-Person and Virtual
• Plan and coordinate engaging, interactive in-person product-training events across U.S. and international locations, including schedules, agendas, registration, venue and vendor logistics, and on-site delivery
• Anticipate challenges, develop contingency plans, and resolve issues before and during events
• Partner with internal stakeholders to clarify responsibilities and maintain timelines; provide hands-on, on-site event support and facilitate or support live training sessions when appropriate
• Plan, schedule, produce, and host webinars for global audiences across multiple time zones, including presenter prep, technical setup, and recording distribution
• Conduct post-event follow-up and identify opportunities to improve future programs
Manage Learning Systems, Reporting, and Localization
• Administer the company's learning management system (courses, curricula, users, enrollments, permissions, and reporting) and enable subsidiary-level reporting for global sales teams
• Monitor participation and completion data to identify content, access, or operational issues; troubleshoot learner and administrator questions
• Coordinate translation and localization requests for global markets, from source-file prep through reviewer collaboration and final quality review
Improve How We Develop and Deliver Learning
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve the team's learning content, delivery methods, tools, processes, and overall learner experience
• Recommend new topics, formats, and approaches based on business priorities, learner needs, stakeholder feedback, and industry trends
• Use LMS data, participation trends, and stakeholder input to support recommendations
• Help plan, implement, and evaluate approved improvements
Manage Projects and Stakeholder Collaboration
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, establishing scope, milestones, and review/approval cycles with stakeholders who do not report directly to the position
• Identify and communicate project risks (missing information, changing product details, delayed approvals) along with recommended solutions and amended timelines
• Support annual product-training planning and provide information needed for budget development and expense tracking
• Complete other related responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, learning and development, communications, business, education, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
Experience:

• Demonstrated experience designing and developing learning content using instructional design and adult-learning principles, including e-learning courses, video scripts, job aids, and competitive comparisons
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to organize complex, technical, or detailed information clearly and logically for global audiences with varying levels of English-language proficiency
• Experience planning and executing engaging, interactive, large-scale in-person training events involving multiple presenters, stakeholders, and logistical components
• Experience administering a learning management system and producing or hosting webinars
• Experience coordinating translation or localization projects
• Strong project-management skills: establishing timelines, coordinating resources, anticipating risks, and moving multiple projects forward simultaneously with cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, identify improvement opportunities, and help move approved initiatives from concept through implementation
Other Requirements:
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and the ability to independently master learning management, webinar, video-editing, and course-authoring platforms
• Experience with Articulate 360, Absorb LMS, GoToWebinar, Camtasia, or comparable platforms is preferred
