Location: Redlands, CA On-Site
Salary Range: $23.41 - $26.97 Hourly
Reports To: Associate Manager, Purchasing
Employment Type: Full-Time

The Role
The Strategic Purchasing Associate is directly responsible for locating, purchasing, tracking and record keeping related to auto parts samples. This position fulfills order requests from the product management or QC teams, tracks and communicates expected ETAs and delivery confirmations, and identifies and troubleshoots roadblocks.
What You’ll Do
  • Search for availability and pricing against established guidelines and place orders for auto part samples and other materials
  • Track and report all incoming parts and notify appropriate team
  • Build packing list with order tracking data and feedback from Development Team
  • Manage relationship with local auto parts stores to order materials for testing or fleet maintenance purposes
  • Organize and receive invoices from local part stores and online purchases for record keeping
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of automobile makes, models, submodels, drive types, engine sizes, transmission types, and other catalog attributes
  • Experience in auto industry retail catalog searching
  • Experience with looking up OEM or OES parts on dealer sites
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
  • Ability to problem solve routine issues and escalate issues as needed
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working independently
  • Enthusiastic and proactive team player, modeling best practices to teammates and assisting as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel and Outlook proficiency
Must Haves
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Auto parts sales or installation experience
  • Experience utilizing dealer service or parts counter systems
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency
