Role Summary

As our Global Director of Procurement, you will lead global procurement execution, requisition conversion, and operational discipline. You will act as the real-time control tower for daily sourcing activity, ensuring deep engagement on requisitions to maximize Hit Rate, margin, and delivery performance. This role requires open-market sourcing experience from Asia (China/Taiwan). Your direct reports will include Purchasing Managers in each of the Americas, APAC, and EMEA.

This role can be based in Shenzhen, China or Taipei, Taiwan and will require travel within the Americas, APAC, and EMEA as needed.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

· Own the structure, performance, and development of the global Procurement organization, including Purchasing Managers across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA.

· Build and continuously develop team knowledge in market conditions, components, customers, products, and processes.

· Maintain direct engagement with the APAC / China supplier base, including regular in-region presence as required, to ensure sourcing competitiveness, relationship depth, and delivery reliability.

· Identify demand patterns and recommendations for better serving customers or taking proactive steps (recommending spec buys, proactive offers)

· Drive deep engagement on requisitions to optimize Hit Rate and net margin, including coordination with Engineering, Sales, and other resources.

· Manage full purchasing lifecycle including PO placement, delivery alignment, and issue resolution.

· Monitor & manage supplier performance including delivery, responsiveness, & quality

· Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Sales, Operations, and Finance to align execution.

· Develop, standardize, & drive improvement to procurement workflows & best practices.

· Own and drive adoption of procurement systems and tools (ERP, procurement platforms, BizNet), ensuring data integrity, process compliance, and reporting accuracy across all regions.

· Improve cycle times, throughput, and accuracy of procurement processes.

· Build a disciplined & knowledgeable procurement organization driven to win.

· Provide regular management reporting
