Job Description

This position is available in Netherlands, Italy, Czechia, Hungary, Croatia, Israel, US & India.

The Senior Director, Strategic Programs Delivery is a key member of TAPI’s Strategy and Transformation function, operating as an internal consulting partner to senior leadership.

The role leads high-priority, cross-functional initiatives, addressing TAPI’s most complex business challenges from problem definition through to execution. Partnering closely with the Executive Leadership Team and functional leaders, the Senior Director brings a structured, hypothesis-driven approach to drive measurable impact and accelerate decision-making.

A central focus is supporting TAPI’s next strategic phase, including preparation for a potential divestment and carve-out. This includes strengthening standalone readiness, improving operational and financial performance, and delivering critical transformation programs.

The role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, requiring a hands-on leader who can navigate ambiguity, align senior stakeholders, and consistently deliver results in a high-paced, high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-priority strategic, operational, and transformation programs across TAPI, ensuring successful execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives aligned with business priorities and long-term value creation
  • Support the ongoing transformation of TAPI, helping drive operational improvement, organizational effectiveness, strategic focus, and execution rigor in preparation for the company’s next phase of evolution, including readiness for potential future divestment
  • Partner with senior leadership to structure ambiguous problems, define actionable roadmaps, and accelerate enterprise-critical decision making across global functions and sites
  • Drive transformation initiatives across Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Network, Commercial, R&D, and enabling functions to improve performance, resilience, competitiveness, and financial outcomes
  • Lead program governance, executive reporting, milestone management, risk mitigation, and issue resolution across strategic and transformation initiatives
  • Identify operational, organizational, and financial improvement opportunities, translating analyses into pragmatic execution plans and measurable business impact
  • Support development and implementation of new operating models, governance structures, business processes, and performance management approaches to strengthen execution discipline and organizational effectiveness
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops, deep dives, and problem-solving sessions to align stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and accelerate delivery
  • Partner with site, regional, and global teams to ensure consistent implementation of strategic programs and sustainable value realization across the network
  • Develop executive-level materials, strategic recommendations, and concise insights for senior leadership forums, governance reviews, Board discussions, and transformation updates
  • Drive accountability across initiatives by establishing clear ownership, timelines, success metrics, and escalation pathways
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, providing independent challenge, structured thinking, and execution support in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment

Focal Point Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic delivery focal point for assigned enterprise programs, transformation workstreams, or business-critical initiatives
  • Build strong partnerships across global, regional, and site leadership teams to identify risks, remove barriers, and accelerate execution
  • Surface organizational challenges, interdependencies, and execution risks to leadership with clear recommendations and mitigation plans
  • Help strengthen a culture of accountability, transparency, speed, and continuous improvement across strategic initiatives and transformation activities
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience, including significant experience in strategy, transformation, operations, consulting, or enterprise program leadership within the pharmaceutical, API, biotech, chemical, or related industries
  • Prior experience in management consulting with at least two promotions completed, especially ex-MBB and/or internal strategy/transformation organizations is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives in complex, highly regulated global organizations
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and/or API operations, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, procurement, or related business functions
  • Experience supporting complex business transformations, carve-outs, separations, integrations, or divestment-related activities is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD, or equivalent) preferred
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across matrixed organizations without direct authority
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments requiring structured problem solving, prioritization, and executive communication

Leadership & Professional Skills

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to simplify complex issues into actionable plans
  • Strong execution orientation with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational delivery
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including development of executive-ready materials and presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and navigate complex organizational dynamics
  • Highly collaborative leadership style with strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities across cultures and functions
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business insights and operational actions
