Job description

Amsoil is currently seeking a Strategic Program Manager.
The Strategic Program Manager is responsible for designing, leading, and executing key organization-wide initiatives that drive AMSOIL strategic priorities and operational excellence. This role works closely with senior leaders across the organization to align projects with long-term goals, coordinate cross-functional execution, and provide visibility into progress and impact.
Examples of Work Performed / Essential Functions:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement operational strategies that support business objectives, enhance productivity and drive growth.
  • Lead strategic project development by defining goals, success metrics, scope, and benchmarks for initiatives that support AMSOIL organizational and operational goals.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Lead regular strategy reviews to track progress, analyze gaps and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Formulate and oversee the implementation of change management processes to facilitate effective alignment between cross functional groups.
  • Drive execution across multiple departments, coordinating interdependent projects and ensuring alignment with long-term priorities.
  • Develop tools, templates, and planning resources that establish standards and improve program management practices across the organization.

Program Leadership
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of strategic programs to ensure scope, timelines, investment and resources meeting baseline standards
  • Build and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, milestones, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, proactively resolving issues and navigating tradeoff decisions with senior stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate programs using data and stakeholder feedback, adapting strategies and approaches to improve impact and efficiency.

Team Development
  • Influence and support of high-performing teams.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Continuous Improvement and Data Analysis
  • Use date driven insights to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals.

Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for executive leadership on major program updates.
  • Ensure transparent and timely communication with all stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and insights on key initiatives and performance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or related field (MBA preferred) with 7+ years' experience in strategic program or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in Continuous Improvement strategies and principles of Lean and Six Sigma, and Quality.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with program management tools and methodologies.

Certificates/Licenses Required:
  • LEAN or Six Sigma certification
  • Project Management Professional

Knowledge, skills and Abilities Required:
  • Knowledge of value stream mapping process.
  • Skilled at synthesis and analysis.
  • Skilled in giving presentations to small and large groups.
  • Advanced skills in the use of data management tools to monitor progress toward goals.
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • Ability to effectively lead team planning and plan execution.
  • Ability to weigh and manage priorities.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all internal/external contacts and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/customers effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
