Our client is a best in class organization looking for a Procurement or Strategic Sourcing guru to support an innovation team being built to support their internal teams as they support emerging technology companies in silicon valley and the bay area. Our client works with clients which are fast moving, innovative companies and they are always looking for ways to help their clients improve their businesses. This Supplier Sourcing team will help make those changes happen inside our client so they can be on top of the latest methods of buying hardware, software and professional services to managing facilities and technology services globally. Our client is looking for a procurement professional who can who can easily navigate and collaborate well across multiple teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders to get things done. Because fin tech and payments is a fast growing space our client would like this person to possess some exposure to negotiate great deals with suppliers in the payments or payment related space, furthermore, you should also be comfortable using data to support decision making.
The right candidate will be forward thinking, able to develop analysis and reports to support procurement decisions which scale automated financial processes and have the ability to drive the negotiation of those deals as an advisor to the to the bottom line of our clients business.
Responsibilities
• Network across our client. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and develop sourcing strategies which help support their business.
• Identify opportunities for increased competitive bidding, smarter supplier relationships and more efficient processes. Collaborate with teams across the globe to speed up innovation.
• Know the supply market (or have the research skills to be able to come up to speed quickly) in order to educate stakeholders and make better decisions.
• Manage robust supplier selection processes using market analysis, concise request for proposals (RFPs), and a data driven approach.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of relevant work experience, including experience in procurement/strategic sourcing.
Preferred qualifications:
• MBA degree.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, payments and bit coin preferably.
• Strong influencing skills and change management experience with the ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities.
• Quick learner with interest in understanding and applying global supplier best practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
