The Analyst, Strategic Resource Group is responsible for supporting group, executive, and HSC leadership through planning, utilizing analytics to aid in the formation of strategic decisions and initiatives that directly impact operations and the health of the community.

How you'll contribute 

An Analyst, Strategic Resource Group who excels in this role will:

Market & Strategic Analytics

  • Support hospital and HSC leadership with market-facing analytics, including service line growth, competitive landscape assessment, provider supply/demand analysis, and utilization trends.

  • Assist with service line strategy, growth initiatives, site selection, and market expansion analyses.

  • Compile and interpret internal and external healthcare data sources (population, utilization, claims, discharge, and other market datasets).

Data Management & Analysis

  • Pull together large, disparate datasets from databases, flat files, and external sources.

  • Clean, structure, and reconcile data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and analytical usability.

  • Perform quantitative analysis using Excel, SQL (preferred), Microsoft Fabric, and related analytics tools.

  • Support recurring and adhoc analytical requests with a strong focus on data integrity and defensibility.

Reporting & Insight Communication

  • Develop clear, concise analytical outputs for executive audiences using Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.

  • Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights and business implications.

  • Participate in presentations and discussions with hospital executives, operators, and strategy partners.

Tools, Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Use and help enhance enterprise analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

  • Identify opportunities to improve analytic efficiency, repeatability, and scalability.

  • Learn and apply Lifepoint's analytical standards, methodologies, and data governance practices.

What we're looking for

Experience

  • 1-3 years of relevant analytical, financial, consulting, or healthcare experience.

  • Prior exposure to healthcare, finance, consulting, or analytics roles is helpful but not required.

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel skills required (data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables; modeling a plus).

  • Experience with or interest in SQL (preferred).

  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.

  • Comfort working with databases, structured datasets, and analytical workflows.
