Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Client Partner to manage our largest and most complex specialty accounts.

This role blends strategic consulting, operational oversight, and data?driven client guidance to ensure exceptional service delivery and long?term client success.

This role is central to strengthening client partnerships, optimizing program performance, and driving strategic value across key accounts.


The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Large Group health benefits, excels at navigating complex operational environments, and can translate data into actionable insights


We ask that you have at least 10+ years of experience with leading highly complex self-funded employer relationships.


Must have a proven track record of driving multimillion-dollar revenue portfolios, top-tier retention, and long-term client strategy through data-driven plan design.


Additionally, you'll need Concierge Customer Service skills, plan optimization knowledge, and the ability to form and maintain consultative partnerships.


All-in-all, you'll manage large employer groups with a focus on long-term retention, cost containment, and plan sustainability. This includes having oversight with any changes in laws, open enrollments, helping with complex claims, etc.


Duties/Responsibilities:


Client Partnership & Strategy

* Serve as the primary strategic advisor for large specialty accounts, building trusted, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders.

* Lead strategic planning discussions to understand client objectives and design tailored health benefits strategies aligned with organizational goals.

* Develop multiyear account roadmaps focused on cost containment, member experience, and program optimization.


Operational Leadership

* Oversee end-to-end operational performance for assigned key accounts, ensuring seamless implementation, issue resolution, and service delivery.

* Partner with internal operations, clinical, and product teams to ensure client needs are met with precision and efficiency.

* Identify operational risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.


Data Analytics & Insights

* Analyze claims, utilization, and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

* Deliver data-driven insights that demonstrate program value and support strategic recommendations.

* Collaborate with analytics teams to refine reporting and develop custom insights for large-group clients.


Issue Resolution & Advocacy

* Act as the client’s internal advocate, ensuring timely resolution of escalated issues and alignment across internal teams.

* Maintain a deep understanding of client priorities and ensure they are reflected in operational and strategic decisions.


Contract & Renewal Management

* Lead contract renewals, amendments, and pricing discussions for large specialty accounts.

* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications and skills:


Education & Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

* 7-10+ years of experience managing large, complex client accounts (1,000+ members) in the health benefits or insurance industry.

* Proven experience in operations, strategic consulting, and data-driven account management.


Technical & Professional Skills

* Deep understanding of health benefits programs, insurance products, and regulatory requirements.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.

* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience with executive-level stakeholders.

* Demonstrated ability to lead cross?functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.


Other Requirements

* Valid Health Insurance license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

* Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).


Physical Requirements

* Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.

* Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
